1st BEACH trip

Laura Beth is loving a new character. We tried and tried NOT to let her get interested in things like BARNEY. BUT our efforts didn't work. She saw Barney at Chuck E Cheese once. Then, one day she was eating in her chair in the kitchen and HEARD the music of Barney (didn't SEE it) and started asking for "Bonnie" (i.e. "barney"). So naturally, we bought her the "Barney at the Zoo" video that was filmed at Fort Worth Zoo. She LOVES it! She laughes in the ENTIRE movie. ha! BUT it's pretty annoying to have the songs stuck in MY head all day. I liked Baby Einstein better when I had Mozart in my head. :)

These pictures below are of Laura Beth wearing my necklaces (and PJ's) again. She loves them...but not just ONE necklace, she needs them all. ha! If you can't tell, she is getting bigger and alot more personality is coming out everyday.

OK, so we did a "staycation" and Laura Beth got to swim a lot. She swam at the swimming pool at the hotel. This is us on the elevator.

On this trip, Laura Beth wanted to wear her sunglasses all the time. She even wanted to wear them here at the Pizza Place. So cute.

Laura Beth got to go to a beach. It is a public park at a lake in Grandbury Texas. Laura Beth loved everything about the beach except the HEAT of the sand. She liked the wet sand, but not the hot dry sand.

Steve hates the hat he wore, but it was so hot, WE ALL WORE HATS!

The water was so shallow that Laura Beth could walk out at least 40 feet into the lake. She LOVED walking around in the water and splashing. It wasn't the ocean, but it was perfect for us. VIDEO TO COME SOON.

Puddle Pictures

I posted a video yesterday. These are the snap shots I got of Laura Beth getting really yucky in the nasty puddle.

She even wanted to put her head in it.

Check out that beautiful mud spot on her leg. Believe it or not, it all came out in the wash.

This last picture was my attempt to get how wet her pants were after she SAT in the puddle. That was the first thing she did when she saw it. After that, I just let her go after it.

We recently went to the zoo and this Tiger was up and moving. Laura Beth kept saying,"Hey" to it. This other kid was not aware that he was lunch. ha!

Then, yesterday, Laura Beth found a puddle. Lately, we have been into pools and WATER in general. It occurred to me that she had not seen a puddle in a while. Well, not since she's been walking on her own and lived in Texas. She went straight to it and SAT in the water. This is her playing in it. It never rains here so I just let her play in it. The puddle was gone in a few hours. Laura Beth went back outside later to see it. I'm sure she was confused at where it went. ha! Ignore the pajamas, necklace, miss matched bow, and sandals outfit. ha! We just went out to check the mail right after breakfast (hence pajamas) so she needed shoes. Perfect outfit for the occasion.

More MS FAMILY!

My family came to Texas this past weekend. We had a great time doing "Fort Worth" stuff. This is Laura Beth eating ice cream from EVERYONE'S cup. SO cute! PURE BLISS ICECREAM ROCKS!

We ate sushi! Laura Beth likes to eat off the sticks. She'll even ask for them.

My parents stayed Thursday- Sunday. They even went to church with us. It was nice worshipping with them. We ate after the early service. MORE ice cream! Thanks Gran.

Throughout the weekend, we did several things as seen in these pictures. We also went to the central market, which my dad enjoyed the most, I think. My favorite part of the weekend was getting a pedicure from my mom and sister. ha! Free and looks GREAT!

RANDOM: This is a picture of me and Steve on a date night a while back. I had forgotten we took this picture. Don't ya'll love Steve's "Texas" hair do!

I put this last picture in here because Steve gave this phone away to my brother this past weekend. HA! It was in mint condition Lou, we promise. ha!

MORE Chuck E Cheese

We had some extra tokens to Chuck E Cheese and needed some Air conditioned fun, so we went to Chuck E Cheese again last night. This time we got pictures with the "MOUSE." Laura Beth saw the "mouse sign" on the building before we even got parked and repeated "mouse" over and over again. Then, the mouse came out for pictures and OF COURSE she was a little scared of him. She touched him and talked to him, but wanted to stay in her daddy's arms for pictures.

Last night after going to Chuck E Cheese, we watched fireworks on a hill outside our home, which is one of the highest points in Fort Worth. It was nice. No mosquito's, light breeze, and great company (Bill, Hannah Claire, and Mammy) Steve and Bampa stayed inside while Laura Beth slept.

We visited Travis Avenue Baptist church this morning. Laura Beth did well in the nursery. We are especially missing our youth friends back home today since they are heading to Big Stuf camp. Fun!

My sister is having a baby in October, Gage Breisch Stallings. I am so thrilled about that. I can't believe he'll be here in a few short months. I have been BEGGING my sister to put pictures of her cute pregnant belly on her blog. I don't get to see her being pregnant since we live in Texas now. EVERYBODY else join in on the begging and maybe the blog pictures will happen. ha!

Also, another friend of ours decided on a name for their little girl. Tricia and Bill Bethany are naming their daughter, Aubrey Anne Bethany. So sweet. We'll meet her in November. :) I wouldn't mind seeing prego pictures of her either. ha!

We had a great 4th of July weekend! Hope y'all did too!

CHUCK E CHEESE!

This is how we ARRIVED at Chuck E Cheese! Crazy...Hannah Claire slept for over 30 minutes while all of the action began. I ended up putting her in a booth and sitting with her instead of holding her.

THEN, Hannah Claire was up!

The bus was her FAVORITE ride..at first. She rode it like 10 times.

Laura Beth loved the Barney Train. However, she was more fascinated with his eyes than anything.

This next picture is so hilarious! I look over and Hannah Claire is MAKING OUT with this guy who had a dog with him (not pictured). Dogs are such "girl getters." ha! Aaron get ready for the dating years! ha!

And of COURSE, Chuck came out for a birthday party for another kid. We had to wait for him to do his show and then get hugs! Laura Beth was practically screaming "Mouse" trying to get his attention. She wouldn't take a picture with him but she shook his hand and touched him while I held her. No picture because I couldn't do both. ha! BUT we LIVE HERE so we can go again anytime! Whoo HOO!

After a long day of fun, we took baths and I dried LB and HC's hair. LOTS OF HAIR DRYING! I took a picture of the finished product on HC, but LB was in bed by then. ha!
