Weekend with the Andrews' and Stallings' Families

What a weekend! We had a GREAT time celebrating my dad's birthday for the WHOLE weekend.

Angie and Breisch came in on Friday. My mom and dad babysat Laura Beth Friday afternoon, because I had bible study. Then, at 7 pm Friday, Steve and I headed to a high school football game to watch some youth friends of ours play and cheer. Then, after the game we had "5th Quarter" at the church until midnight. Yeah, we were tired the next morning.

On Saturday, we got to eat pancakes with Angie and Breisch and have a photo opportunity with Laura Beth. In the photos, Laura Beth is styling a very cute outfit from "Blessed Be the Name" kids clothing line. My sister, Angie, bought her the outfit.

Laura Beth was more interested in the grass...

After the photo shoot, Laura Beth went to her Mimi and Pop's house (Linda and Randy Dismuke) while Steve, Lou, Angie, Breisch, my mom, my dad, and me went to watch "Fireproof" the movie. IT WAS A GREAT MOVIE! We highly recommend this movie to all of our friends. :) After the movie, we all headed to TCBY for icecream. Later that night, we all hung out and ate "birthday dinner" for my dad at my parent's house. The food was fantastic! Below a picture of Laura Beth and her uncle Lou Lou!

Lastly, we all went to church this morning and worshipped together. It was a great weekend. "Thank you so much" to Angie, Breisch, and Lou for truckin' over to Gville for some good times!

Of course the weekend ended...and we all went back our seperate ways, to our seperate cities, and seperate jobs :(.... BUT we know that we'll be seeing each other again soon AND the time we had together was so wonderful!

Tonight after church, Steve and I were playing with Laura Beth before bed time. Steve read her a book with this cute dog in it that Laura Beth loves. (PLEASE IGNORE THE BLUE BIB...it's a long story. ha!)
All in all, we had a fantastic weekend!

Happy Birthday Lisa!

Today(Sept. 24) is a very special friend's birthday! Lisa Nothstine is having her big day today. I just LOVE Lisa. She has such a fun personality, great work ethic (take a day off already, ha), and great friendship "skills." ha! We met in college. She was in my sorority. Then she was in my wedding. Now she is on my "MUST call and see how things are going" call list. Man I miss hanging out with you, Leese. Hope your day was just GREAT!

What's up doc?

Laura Beth has been teething. She now has 2 teeth coming in. So, Steve and I decided to let her teethe on some carrots. She loves them! They are cold and tasty. Ha! Hannah Claire wanted something to chew as well. So, she opted for celery and peanut butter. ha!

Saturday morning we had breakfast bible study at our house with the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls from our church. Laura Beth was the center of attention of course. ha!

We listened to the MSU game on the radio Saturday. Laura Beth liked wearing her new MSU outfit. Thanks for the hand-me-down Foreman family! If you look really close at this picture, then you may can see one of Laura Beth's teeth. :)

She had a BIG weekend with her cousin, Hannah Claire. She loved playing with her.
This video is of Laura Beth and Hannah Claire kissing. Too cute!

In this next video, if you listen closely you can hear Laura Beth laughing through that teether at her favorite cousin, Hannah Claire!

She also loved seeing her Uncle Aaron and her Aunt Laura.

Steve caught some really cute poses of Laura Beth looking like such a big girl.

A tooth! AND some special Birthdays!

Yes, Laura Beth has gotten her first tooth. We don't have pictures of it, because we can't quite see it in pictuers yet...I bet it'll show in pictures in about a week.

She is growing really fast now. She sits up on her own and sometimes lundges toward far away objects. She'll be crawling before we know it.

MSU football has started and we have watched all the games. However, Steve has agreed to go to Oxford on Nov. 1 when Ole Miss plays Auburn. Depending on the time of the game, we may not watch it. However, we will make it to the grove for sure (if you know Steve, then you know this is a big deal for him to agree to go).

We have been enjoying this nice "post Ike" weather. Steve is still doing Seminary classes in Jackson every Monday. I am still working hard in the Greenville Public Schools. All together we are busy, busy...but never to busy to hear from all of you. Email, call, come visit, etc. :)

Happy Late Birthday to a very special person in our family....LAURA SMITH! Laura is Steve's sister (Laura Beth is named after her). She is such a wonderful mom! She is also the best sister-in-law! I'm so blessed to know her! Happy Birthday Laura from the "Mears Bloggy Blog Blog" (it's a rap. ha!)

Happy EARLY birthday to a very special Papaw....GORDON ANDREWS! My dad's birthday is Sept. 22. He is such a wonderful dad and papaw! He sometimes picks up Laura Beth from the nursery on Sunday's and visits her whenever he can. She loves her papaw so much! We can't wait to celebrate my dad's birthday! God blessed me with the best dad. Thank you, daddy, for many years of support and LOTS of love!

More pictures to come soon!

12 inches of water in an hour or so! AND MORE!

Ok, so we've been pretty busy, but today we have the day off. Last night (Wednesday) around 6:00 pm the rain and tornados came through the delta. By 7:00 almost EVERY road in Greenville, except major highways were flooded. Steve, Laura Beth, and myself were downtown at the church. It took us almost and hour to get home. We live 10-15 minutes from the church. Yeah, it was bad. The pictures don't depict the magnitude of the water because they were taken hours later.

The picture above is an empty lot behind our house.
You can see that Jack thinks this "flood stuff" is wonderful! We always wanted a lake in our backyard for him. ha! The next picture is of the street next to ours.
Also, Laura Beth is eating in her big girl high chair. She loves it! Thanks granny and papaw for giving us the high chair!

Laura Beth also loves playing at her table. She practically runs around it some days. She is getting so big. Enjoy the video!

Last weekend we went to Jackson to a wedding. While we were there, we got to visit Bampa, Mammy, Bill, Laura, Aaron, and Hannah Claire.
Mammy gave Laura Beth the bottle and Aunt Laura gave Laura Beth her food, looks like she left some of those carrots for later.
Bampa and Hannah Claire Chilling on the couch watching the MSU game.
Laura Beth will be 7 months old in 5 days. CRAZY! She is really starting to explore. We'll be picking out a halloween costume soon. I can't wait!
