Nice Weather

We have really been enjoying the nice weather we have had recently. Here are some shots of the Zoo and a picnic in the park.

This picture below was taken in 2009.

Same Statue. Different year, 2011. This is a "visual" of how fast they grow up. Crazy.

3rd Birthday

Jump and Dress Up!
A Princess Party.

If you've never been to a "Pump It Up" party, then you may not know that the kids jump on lots of bounce houses for 80 minutes. Laura Beth was ready for cake, ice cream and presents after about 40 minutes. ha!

After jumping, we went to the "party room" to dress up, as this was a princess party.

The party guests eating cake and ice cream.

We now have a 3 year old. What a WONDERFUL 3 years it has been. She makes us smile so much. We are thankful to the Lord for blessing us with Laura Beth!

Our American Girl

Recently, Laura Beth had a birthday (I'll get the pictures up soon). Her Mimi (Linda Dismuke) asked if she could buy Laura Beth and American Girl doll. OF COURSE, I said, "Yes!" I think these dolls are so cute. Laura Beth REALLY loves "Norah" (thats what Laura Beth named her baby). Mimi got her the "starter kit" so it came with a backpack, bottles, clothes, a bear, a blanket, bib, shoes, matching big girl pajamas, etc. She takes it places, puts it to bed, says "Dear God" for it (what Laura Beth calls prayers sometimes) and she "feeds" it.

Altogether, Laura Beth got MANY presents for her birthday that she LOVES. She plays with every one of them EVERYDAY. However, I think the American Girl doll is something MOMMY is more excited about Laura Beth having.

I LOVE WATCHING LAURA BETH BEING "MOTHERLY."
Praise God for the ways He is preparing Laura Beth and Me for Julie Ann.

AND this is just a princess picture that I thought was cute. She wore this new cinderella dress, crown, and jewelry at her birthday party. Above she is "posing like a princess."

Little Mommy

Laura Beth is really starting to show her "motherly" side. Today she 'baked" cookies for her tea party guests and made sure to tell each one that they were "warm" and she blew on each cookie. She also read a book to her Hello Kitty and then put her to bed. She prayed for her and everything. We love it!

More SNOW!

We got about 4- 5 more inches of snow over night last night. We had a great time playing in it. Laura Beth LOVED sweeping the snow away from her playhouse, etc. She also liked sledding. I will try to get that video together soon. It was my favorite part too.

Someone else's snowman. It was too hard to build our own.
Playing on the playground,

What are you going to do with that snow?

I don't think so. ha!

We've had our "fix" for snow. Now bring on SPRING! Well, except for the snow they are predicting for Monday and Wednesday of next week. ugh!

Laura Beth's birthday is this week. CAN YOU BELIEVE SHE WILL BE 3?
Princess Party next weekend here we come!

BRRRR...

We had a "snow day." I should say ice/snow/wind day. The wind was brutal. We couldn't stay out long. However, Laura Beth had a great time in it and looking at it. No snowmen. The snow wouldn't stick together.

Laura Beth showing her snow.

All of Laura Beth's "outside toys" were covered in ice and snow, even under the "porch."

CHEESE!!!

All together, it was a nice day to spend together.

Baby Shower for Julie Ann

Some "work friends" hosted a sweet baby shower for me and Julie Ann last Friday. We got lots of useful and cute things. Laura Beth keeps saying, "When Julie Ann comes out, she can play with these." I love how she is really beginning to grasp this Big Sister concept (NOT that I think she will be all that excited when she finds out how much attention Julie Ann will need. ha!).

The Cake. Red Velvet...sooo good! And NOTE the Chocolate Chip Cheese Ball in the background. MY FAVORITE!

Wabee and Laura Beth checking out the flowers.

Some really cute little bitty shoes.

The Hostesses.
It is snowy and icy here. We had a winter storm come through. I was a little excited about the snow, except it is RIDICULOUSLY cold outside. The wind is unbearable. We only stayed out for minutes and had to come in. There was no time for snowmen today. However, we are enjoying spending the day together. Pictures of the snow to come. :)
