Let it SNOW!

It snowed here today! My mother in law calls it "Holiday snow." Laura Beth hasn't been able to play in snow yet. Today, I wanted to make sure that I got her out there. However, I gave her a sucker (her first one to eat) right before we went out. Therefore, the sucker made it in all of the pictures. ha!

Walking in the snow with daddy! The snow had just started. We got some more snow several hours after this picture.

Daddy and Laura Beth catching snow.
What is more exciting? The sucker? or the snow?

Christmas

Before we went to MS, Steve and Laura Beth played in the leaves outside before church.

If you didn't know already, Laura Beth was not a fan of Santa Claus this year. The ONLY santa that she would even get close to was this "santa Cow" at Chick-fil-a. It'll be her Santa Claus picture for this year.

Giving Santa Cow "hugs" but he was too big. HA!

Zane, Laura Beth, and Hannah Claire
Reading her new alphabet books!
My mother gave Laura Beth this outfit. Angela Fratesi (who sells this "Blessed be the Name" clothing) was asking how Laura Beth looked in it and stated she wanted to see pictures. Here it is. Pretty cute.
Playing with Hannah Claire and the Alphabet Books.
"Sharing" the new toy!
Uncle Aaron and Aunt La La loving on Laura Beth.
Me and Laura modeling our apron's that Nancy and Ron, Steve's mom and Dad, gave us.
Baby Gage (my sister's son). He was out cold after taking a bottle from his Gran. He was alot of fun as it was his FIRST CHRISTMAS! :)
Laura Beth likes Gage's "nap nanny." She thinks it's her personal recliner, I think.
Papaw getting some loving from Laura Beth. She likes to snuggle while watching her movies.
Feeding Uncle Lou Lou!
This next picture isn't Christmas dinner, but it is something I haven't had in a while. Muffaletta Sandwiches! Each made to order...so they all look a little different. I was happy to get to eat it!
Laura Beth eating Pralines! My mom and dad make THE BEST pralines EVER!!!! This was Laura Beth's first time to eat them. She likes them too.
Now she is eating an apple (something she likes to do with her papaw) and playing Mickey Mouse clubhouse with Uncle Lou Lou.
Laura Beth loving her Mickey Mouse clubhouse and Papaw loving on Gage in the background.
Awww Sweet Gage and Papaw.

Riding Henry, a rocking horse that Steve's grandfather made for him when Steve was little.
\Laura Beth opening her first present. Listen for "oooh, wow, Mickey Mouse clubhouse, open, open, open, open." ha!
All together, We had a great Christmas and we hope you did too! We're so thankful that God sent His son to save us!

(I'm not sure why, but this video is hard to hear on my computer. Listen for "mary, Joseph, baby jesus,... and camel")

Ha Ha HA Very Funny!

So two weeks ago, I had a minor surgery on my foot. Well, the doctor said I could "weight bare" the day that I went home from the hospital (i.e. no crutches). It turns out that I needed a boot and that "weight bare" was pretty painful for longer distance walking. We needed some things from Wal-Mart the day after my surgery, and I couldn't make the walk. Therefore, we resorted to the little motorized cart. Steve laughed the ENTIRE time in Wal-mart. At one point he was laughing so hard that I threatened to get off the cart and MAKE myself walk around. I had to post this picture because now that I am back to normal, this is a pretty stinking funny picture. ha! He took it with his phone without me knowing (or else we would have had a serious "discussion" in the middle of Wal-mart that day.) Hope you get a laugh too. Christmas pictures to come soon. :)

On the WEEK before Christmas...

The week before Christmas for us has been fun. Laura Beth loves playing in this house. It belongs to a neighbor. Laura Beth asks for it everyday after school. She likes to sit on the bench on the porch. She has her mother's personality. I took this the other day after church as the weather wasn't too cold and Laura Beth was asking for the house.
Laura Beth got this puppy dog from a friend. It is as big as she is. I suggested we name him "floppy" because he is pretty floppy. Laura Beth immediately tried to repeat me and said, "sloppy." So of course Steve said, "Yeah, perfect. We'll call him Sloppy Joe." So now, Laura Beth has her new favorite toy "sloppy Joe," who will be making the trip to MS next week with us. HA!

Laura Beth got into the Christmas stickers the other night. Here you can see how some on her shirt. She wanted to put them everywhere and on everyone (knees, hands, arms, paper, etc.) It was fun watching her play with them.

On Friday, Laura Beth had her school party. There were many snacks and fun!
This is Ms. Anabel. Laura Beth loves her teacher, Ms. Anabel.

This is Laura Beth's lead teacher Mrs. Cami. We were doing circle time and reading a book about Santa Claus.
This next picture is of Laura Beth opening her "Book present." They did a book exchange.
I took this picture because Laura Beth looks so big. She is washing her hands, which they do often during the day. Laura Beth does such "grown up," independent things at daycare.
This next picture is so funny to me. This cute little boy, Abram, really likes Steve. He also really likes to have his picture taken.
In the picture below: Laura Beth's teachers. They have taught her soooo much! They give her hugs and kisses when she is hurt or sick. They helped us teach her colors, numbers, songs, manners, social skills, etc. We are very thankful for these women for helping us to raise Laura Beth. They have great patience, great teaching skills, and LOTS of LOVE!
Today, we went to the mall to let Laura Beth run around. We took a ride on the carousel.
Laura Beth loves the fountains at the mall, including this turtle fountain below.

On the way home. "Yeah, I'm cool."

More parties and stuff...

We got to go to another Christmas party. This time it was our adult sunday school party. Steve's eyes look weird in this picture, because I tried to take the red-eye out. Steve's blue eyes are so much prettier than this picture. ha!
Nolan and Debbie. So much fun to hang around! ("Sunday school class" friends).
I posted this next picture for my mom, really. My Aunt Gayle (my mom's sister in-law) sent this to Laura Beth in the mail. A sweet little dress that Laura Beth will be sporting to church tomorrow. Thanks Aunt Gayle!
Laura Beth hanging with her "homies." She loves hanging out with these 2 boys. However, Laura Beth's friends Micah and Caleb just moved today. People come and go so fast while living at seminary. Laura Beth will sure miss them.

Parties and Worship!

We have had an eventful weekend!

Friday night we went to a party at Lauren Kelly's house. It was so fun to eat Great food (Wabee you did an EXCELLENT job!) and enjoyed some Great Company! We exchanged gifts and played a little charades! LOVE THAT GAME! My camera battery died, so I didn't get any pictures this night.

Saturday night, we went to my work Christmas party. It was in Dallas. We traveled with some friends...I can't believe I didn't get a picture with them! Kristin and Matt Sessoms. Ugh! I'm sad for not having a picture with them. Anyway, the party had GREAT food and fun conversation, with a strawberry cake that was INCREDIBLE (the one of many kinds of cake offered)! Thanks to wabee, Jill, and Michelle for babysitting! You guys rock!

Today, we worshiped! Laura Beth wore a coat that my mom passed down to her. My grandmother made this coat for my mom when she was little. It's pretty sentimental.

Where's Laura Beth?

There she is!
After church, I wrapped Christmas presents. This is one of my favorite things to do during this season. I took a picture of this one...the picture doesn't do it justice. This gift goes to Gage. I really impressed myself with the wrapping. Does anyone want me to help them wrap their Christmas presents?
Then, Laura Beth and I went to the mall with some neighbors who are moving soon. We saw Santa Claus and played on the indoor play area. Laura Beth looks like she is having a blast, doesn't she? She really did enjoy it, even if this picture doesn't show it. ha!

Then we went to church for a Christmas program and a "cookie" reception. Laura Beth had a great time! When we got home Laura Beth wanted to carry my purse. Then she found my shoes. I wondering how long it would take her to really like "dress-up." Looks like we are well on our way to playing big girl dress up. :)
All together, we are in for another busy week. It is exam week. Steve can see the light at the end of the tunnel for this semester. :)
