The last 2 weeks AND Atlanta's House

In the past 2 weeks Laura Beth had made some big strides in growth. She is sitting up with less and less support. She is grabbing everything and putting it in her mouth. She likes to smile ALOT. She also has started to giggle. She doesn't giggle all the time, but when she does giggle a little bit, we LOVE it!

Got ya! I took this picture of Laura Beth and Steve playing. They weren't expecting it.

The Wednesday before we went to Atlanta, the youth went bowling. Laura Beth thought she was supposed to eat the ball, not roll it. ha!

Below are pictures of "preschoolers at the playground." Tricia Bethany is Laura Beth's Preschool minister.

Laura Beth enjoying "tummy time."

Laura Beth playing with the greenhead duck. Her Uncle Lou is going to be so proud.
Below are pictures from our trip to Atlanta, Georgia or "Atlanta's house" (according to our neice, Hannah Claire). At Atlanta's house, we went to many fun places. One of those places was the zoo. Laura Beth was hot, but loved every minute of the zoo.

This is our neice, Hannah Claire, acting like a monkey at the Gorilla Exhibit. Too cute!
Look at those cute little animal cousins!
Lizzie and Laura Beth watching the Elephants. The elephant on the right it pregnant. Elephants are pregnant 22 months. WOW, I thought 9 months was a long time!

This next picture is hilarious to me. Aaron is probably going to kill me for putting it on our blog, but it is soooo funny. We were looking at the flamingos and talking about how they stand on one leg and of course Aaron does an impersonation of them. SOOO FUNNY!

Below are pictures from the Atlanta Aquarium. The picture below is of Laura, Steve, and Laura Beth waiting in line at the picture counter. I love how Laura Beth is rubbing her daddy's face... too cute!

At the Aquarium, they had this really cool 4 D movie with a fish that looked, talked, and acted like "nemo" but was named "deepo." It was such a cute, fun movie. We had hopes that Laura Beth would really enjoy it.
BUT as you can see, she thought it was nap time. ha!
In the picture below, Laura Beth looks BLUE because we are in an underwater tunnel. WHAT IS SHE LOOKING AT???....
OH, just a HUGE sawfish...no big deal.
Hannah Claire loved the underwater tunnel. Look at Aaron being the best photographer daddy. I can't wait to watch those videos.
After we went to the Aquarium, we went to the "World of Coca Cola." We thought it was really interesting. Laura Beth thought it was nap time again. ha!

After the "World of Coke" we met up with some friends, the Tramels, at a pizza place called "Slice." It was fun catching up with them and their daughter, Jaylen. I can't believe we didn't get any pictures with them. After a long day of fun, we finished the night at a Laser Show at Stone Mountain. It had laser lights and fireworks that Laura Beth loved, even if it was past her bedtime. She watched the entire show laying on the side of a hill. There were no bugs and tons of people all laying on blankets to watch the show. Below is a picture of her and her daddy watching the show.
This picture is the three of us watching the show.

On vacations with children, sometimes you need someone to keep your child "busy" while you get dressed and ready. Below is Steve putting "maeke-up" on Hannah Claire.AND Hannah Claire putting "make-up" on Steve. So beautiful. ha!
Below is Uncle Aaron and Hannah Claire keeping Laura Beth "busy" while we were getting ready. Hannah Claire LOVES her some Laura Beth. AND Laura Beth LOVES her some Hannah Claire. Actually, Laura Beth would just stare, smile, and "talk" to Hannah Claire like they completely understood each other. It was way to much fun! On Saturday we went to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. This picture is at the Arctic Exhibit. Laura, Hannah Claire, Laura Beth and Steve are posing on the iceburg. :) Laura and myself bought Hannah Claire and Laura Beth matching outfits.

The next picture is Hannah Claire and Laura Beth in an "ICE HOLE." Hannah Claire is saying, "Cheese" really loud. She is too cute. After the Fernbank Museum, we went to Stone Mountain again for some site seeing and photo opportunities.

That is Stone Mountain behind us. It is the largest piece of exposed granite.

After Stone Mountain, we headed back to the hotel for some night swimming. Awww Look at those sweet dads!

Hannah Claire is such a sweet neice.
On Sunday, we all woke up early to go to North Point Church. This mega-church had a great nursery, awesome worship, and wonderful message from Andy Stanley. After church we went to the CNN center. Shortly after that, we ate at the Steak and Shake and headed home.

On the way home, Hannah Claire wanted to hold Laura Beth at a gas station/ restroom stop.

THEN...Laura Beth does that grabbing thing she does. Poor Hannah Claire...Laura Beth pulled her hair the entire trip, if she could reach it.
Unlce Aaron put his hat on Laura Beth and called her the "Gallaudet Homie." HA!
The trip to Atlanta's house was so much fun! Hannah Claire and Laura Beth's first vacation TOGETHER was a success!
