New toys!

Granny, my mom, came to visit on Steve's birthday. Laura Beth loved wearing the dress her granny bought her. Then, Terrell Foreman brought over some toys that she is no longer using with her children. This Baby Einstein mat is Laura Beth's favorite. BUT her daddy had to play in it with her...she liked that too.

In this picture she is laughing at the flashing star. The star plays music and lights up when she hits the objects. She LOVES it. We are so thankful for the new toys.

Steve's grandfather's 80th birthday party

Last Saturday, we went to Jackson for Steve's grandfather's 80th birthday party. It was a GREAT time. (pictures to come soon).

Laura Beth has officially quit eating a midnight snack. Now she only gets her pacifier if she wakes in the middle of the night. Most nights consist of a good 6 -7 hour sleep. However, she has done a couple 8 hours here and there. She is adding many consonants to her voicing when she plays. This vocal play is her daddy's new favorite thing to do with her. Today, she woke up with a runny nose. Hopefully that won't develope into anything serious. Laura Beth weighs 15 Ibs now. This means she has gained a couple since her shots.

Tomorrow is Steve's birthday so we are having cake and ice cream at the house. Also, the river has officially "crested" and the water is beginning to subside. Thank goodness. :)

Weekend visit from Lisa and Jennifer

On Saturday, Laura Beth got to meet my good friends Lisa and Jennifer. They are some serious accountants, who work very hard. It was hard for them to come visit during the busy tax season, but Laura Beth finally got to meet them this past weekend.

Then, Uncle Lou came by on Monday night to buy our old green honda. Since we bought a van, we didn't need 3 other vehicles. So, Lou bought our honda to drive in order to save on the crazy gas prices. While waiting for Steve to get home from Seminary, Uncle Lou and Laura Beth relaxed on the couch. They were too sweet together. :)

MS river rising

Today the weather channel featured Greenville, MS because of the dangerous rising Mighty MS River. The levee actually slid in an area a little north of Greenville. The crack was 4 feet wide. SOOOO, Steve and I decided to get flood insurance. Ha. With alot more rain coming in this week, the river is the highlight of every local news station. The river is supposed to crest this Friday at 56 feet. We hope it does. :)

SHOTS and Laura Beth's video

Today, we went to the doctor to get Laura Beth's shots. She is perfectly healthy and weighs 13 Ibs. She is 22 1/2 inches long. The shots were hard for Steve and I to watch. We put pictures below of the war wounds.

Steve and I are getting to go to dinner for our anniversary and the children's minister from the church, Tricia, is going to watch Laura Beth. Click on the video underneath all of the shot pictures to hear some of our favorite sounds from Laura Beth. We love you guys!

Laura Beth was happy to be home after that traumatic doctor's appointment.

Laura Beth saying she loves all of you! :)

Exciting weekend and I've been tagged

This week has been pretty exciting. Steve got to keep Laura Beth a whole day because I went to work. When I came home, he and Laura Beth had decided he would be a stay at home dad and I would work. Ha! He said it was Laura Beth's idea. ha! I think Laura Beth got a little spoiled while her dad kept her. Then, this weekend Laura Beth went to church for her first Sunday morning. I'll add pictures of that later because I forgot my camera and a friend took pictures for us. Today, Laura Beth and I are just hanging out while Steve is at Seminary in Jackson. He just called me and said that he had a flat tire on the way down there. :( With classes back to back, I am sure he'll have a time with that today.

Laura Beth is beginning to SWAT at things, grab and NOT let go, and sleep 7 hours. YIPPEE!!! However, I read that she may revert back to less hours of sleep during growth spurts. Yuck. Anyway, tomorrow she gets her shots. Tomorrow is also our Dog's birthday. Tomorrow is also Bill's birthday (Uncle Bill, Steve's Brother). AND tomorrow is our second Wedding anniversary. :) April 8th is a BIG day for us!

We hope to hear from you guys. Love ya'll.

I'm doing this thing below just for Angie, my sister. I just love you so much! Miss you!

WHAT WAS I DOING 10 YEARS AGO?

Well, I think that was my Junior year in high school because I have been married 2 years, grad school 2 years before that, undergraduate 4 years before that, and that makes 8 years. SOOO, 2 years before that would be my Junior year of high school. That was definitely a "Mr. Davidson term paper year." He also made me write essay papers EVERY Friday, which made me a better writer. ha! That year was also a transition of new friends, as I had just transfered from Riverside. I was anticipating a new car, which only led to a CLUB WAGON VAN (looks like a painters van). The van didn't have a working driver's side window AND I had to shift it, which is ironic because it was an automatic vehicle. Wow, so much has changed in 10 years.

2. Go to the post office.

3. Travel
4. Pay for school for Cindi (our adopted Honduras child)
5. Remodel my kitchen and bathrooms

FIVE BAD HABITS

1. Used to be biting my nails, now it is eating too much
2. Not making my bed
3. Procrastinating on dusting and cleaning floors
4. OVERPLANNING
5. Being TOO analytical

Uncle Lou came to visit yesterday (Sunday). We went for a walk around the block and then we played. Laura Beth loves her Uncle Lou Lou (the bib says so. ha!)

Yesterday Laura Beth met her great grandmother (Ashford). It was neat to see 4 generations of women sitting together cooing. Steve has been sick since Thursday with high fever and head cold/throat stuff...not exactly sure what the infection is called. He is taking antibiotics and trying to stay away from Laura Beth. He misses holding her so much. So far, she hasn't caught his "stuff."

We love this picture because it is the first one the shows how big she has gotten. What happened to her neck? It disappeared. HA!
Lizzie changing Laura Beth's diaper in the Honda Accord on one of our long trips to Jackson for a doctor visit. We can't wait to get the mini-van. Yep. That's right. We are getting a mini-van this week. We aren't "mini-van" people, but this was too good of a deal to pass up. Plus, the automatic doors and space are so WONDERFUL. No more squeezed back-seat diaper changes for you, Laura Beth.
On our way home from that doctor appointment, Laura Beth got to see her first snow. It was beautiful.
Laura Beth's first "big-girl" bath. She really likes bath time. :)
Laura Beth's first Easter. Steve bought Laura Beth all of her Easter basket stuff. He does all the Wal-Mart shopping since Laura Beth can't get out just yet. He is a GREAT husband and father. :) Uncle Breisch holding Laura Beth over Easter holidays. SO sweet. Hannah Claire kissing Laura Beth in the eye. They look so adorable in their Easter outfits. The most important women in Steve's life. :)...and of course the Mr. Easter Potato Head. HA!Aunt Laura holding Laura Beth. She loves her Aunt Laura.
Uncle Lou Lou and Laura Beth chillin'. Uncle Lou Lou is already getting Laura Beth ready for cell phones. Ha!

This is the first time Laura Beth held her head up for longer than a minute. She looks like she is thinking, "What's the big deal? Of course I can hold my head up." HA!Laura Beth relaxing. She has her daddy's figure. ha! Her pacifier says, "Spoiled"...oh so true.
