Steve was our driver. Breisch was the side seat navigator...along with Steve's bestfriend 'Garmin' (a GPS system) who took us on a few scenic routes.
After Elgin,TX we (Aunt Gigi, Uncle Beesch, Steve, Laura Beth and Myself) headed to Dallas, TX for some site seeing. We went to the JFK (AKA: KFC according to Aunt GiGi) memorial museum. It was really interesting and sad to see the exact place where Lee Harvey Oswald shot President Kennedy. Then, Steve went out into the road where 2 X's mark the spots at which JFK was shot. Steve took some picture from the spot facing the 6th story window. Below are some pictures of that adventure.
After the JFK museum, we headed to eat, but on the way we stopped for some photo opportunities :). It was REALLY hot in Texas!
Then, we headed off to the Holocaust Museum, which I found to be very overwhelming.
After a long day of museums, we finished off the night with a dinner at the Medieval Times Castle. If you've never been to one of these, they are pretty neat. We ate half of a chicken each, a rib, half a potato, soup, and an apple pastry. It was alot of food. We also enjoyed some pretty amazing horses, fun lights, and music.
However, as you can see Laura Beth slept through the entire show. HA. We ended up covering her eyes and ears with a cloth to help her stay asleep. It was too funny.
That night, Aunt GiGi got to play with Laura Beth. They absolutely LOVE each other.
Overall, the weekend was alot of fun. We loved our visit to Texas, even though it was quick. The hotel was fabulous and the company was super! Laura Beth's first vacation was a success :)
