Around 2 months, I wrote in Laura Beth's journal: "You and I have been out and about lately because we got a minivan to carry you around plus you've had your shots so in the last two days we've been to kroger and walmart, each for the first time."

3 More Days until Laura Beth turns 1

At around three months of age, I wrote in Laura Beth's journal:

5/11/09

"It's Mother's Day. It is my first Mother's day to be a mother. Today we dedicated you to the Lord at church. We promised to raise you in a way that portrays Christ. The church promised to pray for you and also help raise you." (What a great day that was!)

4 days until Laura Beth turns One Year old!

This is a four month old picture. Only 4 more days until she turns one year old.

At about 4 months into Laura Beth's first year, I wrote in her journal:

"Another great thing about you, at this age, is that you watch me all of the time. Right now you are staring at me and smililng when I look your way. My favorite smile is when I go to wake you up and as my eyes reach over the crib, you have a huge no-tooth-squinty-eyes smile as your eyes meet mine. At that moment nothing else in the world matters."

5 days until LB turns one year old

About 5 months into Laura Beth's first year, I wrote in her journal:

7/12/08

"Well, this week you have grown like crazy.... You have found your feet and you play with them at every diaper change. You have also started laughing out loud without anyone tickling you or trying to get you to laugh. We went to visit our neighbors today and their daughter was running around in circles. You thought it was the most hilarious thing. You laughed louder and she ran faster. You love kids. Everytime you see them, you smile, talk, or laugh. It is really cute."

6 days until LB Birthday!

"Sleeping Beauty"

"Today, your dad came home early to see you. He was playing with you on the floor. He was kissing your cheeks over and over. Then suddenly, you put your head in his neck and went to sleep while your dad was kissing you. It made him feel so good for you to fall asleep in his arms while he was kissing you. He called me at work so happy and filled with love. He said he'll never forget that moment. You give us so much happiness!"

10/20/08

"...Today I took off work to be home with you. We played all day. Your dad put down tile in our Kitchen and foyer. He wanted to play with you too...I could tell he would rather be with you than doing the floors. We were watching your dad tile the floor. Then all of a sudden, you fell backward and hit your head on the door frame. You didn't start crying until you look at me. If it bruises tomorrow, then it'll be your first bruise on your head. We know this will be the first of many. ...."
